Setting up additional users in Eudora 5 (Part 1):

To set up a folder to hold the soon-to-be-created user, follow these steps:

Click Start and select My Computer from the menu.

Note:  In Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000, My Computer is located on the desktop.  Double click to open it.

My Computer window opens.

Double click the C: drive (or the drive in which you installed Eudora).

The C: drive opens.

Locate Program Files and double click to open it.

The Programs Files folder opens.

Locate the Qualcomm folder and double click to open it.

The Qualcomm folder opens.

Double click the Eudora folder to open it.

The Eudora folder opens.

Right click any where in the folder and select New -> Folder from the menus.

A new folder appears.

Give the newly created folder a name.  In this example, I gave the folder the name 'John Boy's'.

Note:  you do not have to create the new user's folder in the Eudora folder.  You can create it anywhere you'd like.

Important:  take note of the Address bar.  In this example, you see the path C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora.  This is the path to the Eudora folder.  We've just added a new folder to the path.  We'll use this information in 'Step 2'.

Close the window when you're finished.

Important:  now you need to create the user account that you'll assign to this folder.  Click here for Part 2:  Creating the new user account.
